The Company

Tellus Holdings Ltd (‘Tellus’) is an innovative environmental services business focused on cleaning up Australia of its hazardous waste. We aim to do this by developing world-class geological repositories and reinvesting in our communities through a circular economy and recycling technologies. Tellus has recently opened Australia’s first commercial geological repository in remote WA and has several other geological repository and circular economy projects in the pipeline.

The Opportunity

A unique opportunity has arisen for a talented Environmental Scientist to join our close-knit Operations team, reporting to the Environment Manager – Perth.

We are seeking a highly motivated individual who culturally aligns with our company values, and also offers a minimum five years’ experience in environmental compliance and approvals, ideally in Western Australia to:

  • Implement environmental data compliance software INX InViron
  • Assist with preparation of environmental approvals documentation
  • Review and revise environmental management plans
  • Assist with developing and implementing site procedures and tools to ensure site compliance with Tellus’ environmental obligations.

Core job requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science, Environmental Planning, Environmental Engineering or similar
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience including data management systems and environmental management in industry
  • Good reporting writing skills with strong experience in the MS Office Suite / O365
  • Strong experience in HSE software – preferably INX InViron
  • Current unrestricted Drivers Licence
  • Ability to build and maintain effective and sustainable relationships with corporate and site staff and management
  • Previous experience in project delivery
  • A focus on attention to detail, excellence, quality and safety
  • Well-developed problem-solving skills, sound judgement and decisiveness under pressure
  • Ability and willingness to travel to Sandy Ridge and fitness to safely undertake required field work.
