Tellus Holdings Ltd (Tellus) is pleased to announce the appointment of Phil Garling as Non-Executive Chairman of the company with immediate effect.

Phil is a highly successful and experienced business executive with more than 35 years’ experience in the infrastructure, construction, development and investment sectors, including nine years as Global Head of Infrastructure and Private Debt at AMP Capital Investors Limited.

Philip has previously served as Chief Executive Officer of Tenix Infrastructure Pty Ltd and Chief Executive at Lend Lease Capital Services.

He was previously the inaugural Chairman of DUET Group.

Phil’s other current directorships include Australian Renewable Fuels (Chair), Downer EDI Charter Hall, Networks NSW and Water Polo Australia (President).

Mr Garling holds a Bachelor of Building from the University of New South Wales. He has completed the Advanced Management Program at the Australian Institute of Management and holds the Advanced Diploma from the Australian Institute of Company Directors

Richard’s experience and insight in guiding the company since its inception has provided a solid foundation from which we can grow our business with confidence”, he added.

Philip Garling – Biography

Philip has 35 years’ experience in Infrastructure Construction, Development, Operations and Investment Management, most recently as Global Head of Infrastructure at AMP Capital Investors. He has also been Chief Executive Officer of Tenix Infrastructure and prior to that he was a long term Senior Executive at Lend Lease Corporation culminating in his role as Chief Executive of Lend Lease Capital Services (the Development Capital, Infrastructure Development and Project Finance arm of Lend Lease).

Philip is a former member of the Federal Government Environment Industry Action Agenda, and a former Councilor of Environment Business Australia. He was the inaugural Chairman of the DUET group and a director for seven years. Previous directorships include Melbourne Airport, The Asian Giants infrastructure Fund (Chair) Wales & the West Utilities (UK).

He has a Bachelor of Building from the University of NSW and has completed the Advanced Management Program at the Australian Institute of Management and the Advanced Diploma at the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, Australian Institute of Building and Institution of Engineers, Australia.
