Sandy Ridge Kaolin – Product Specification

SR02 Premium Coarse Kaolin for Ceramic Applications

Tellus Holdings Ltd’s (Tellus) kaolin clay will be mined from the up to 36m thick, 20 million year old, Sandy Ridge kaolinite clay bed, some 9 metres below the semi-desert of Western Australia. This is a low iron and bright firing hydrous kaolin clay, produced by chemical-free wet refining methods and is highly suitable for applications in ceramics, particularly tableware and glazes.
