Mining Lease Application Lodged for Chandler

Key points:

  • Tellus lodges Mining Lease Application with the Northern Territory Government.
  • Step closer to getting regulatory approval, investments, jobs and cashflow.

Tellus Holdings Ltd (“Tellus”) has lodged a Mining Lease Application (MLA) with the Northern Territory Government for the Chandler salt mine project 120km south of Alice Springs.

The MLA covers an area within EL29018, over an underground, high grade, multi-mineral salt bed. The area contains the proposed surface processing plant, decline, underground workings, bore field and mine accommodation village.

Tellus has completed stage one drilling, defined the JORC Resource, updated the feasibility study (FEL 2 Update), had positive commercial discussions and was recently awarded Major Project Status.

This is the next step in the regulatory process and brings the project closer to a potential mining project with its associated investments, jobs and cashflow.
