Minister Marmion Opens Tellus Perth Office

The Hon Bill Marmion MLA, West Australian State Development and Innovation Minister, opened Tellus Holdings Ltd’s (“Tellus”) new Perth office on Friday.

Over 75 delegates from the West Australian Government, industry associations, customers, service providers, Tellus Board and management attended.

“After achieving a regulatory milestone when we lodged our Draft Public Environmental Review recently, Tellus is ready to increase our investment in Western Australia,” Tellus Managing Director Duncan van der Merwe said.

“From our rapidly growing Perth office we will be providing technical and commercial services for our Sandy Ridge Project and laying a solid foundation in the community in which we operate,” he said.

“Sandy Ridge is an example of the innovative approach being delivered by new resources projects in these more challenging economic times,” Minister Marmion said.

“I’m also delighted to hear that Tellus has begun an outreach program with tertiary institutions and research organisations with a view to developing a technology hub adjacent to the Sandy Ridge facility,” Minister Marmion said.

Dr Richard Walley OAM, a Whadjuck Noongar man of the South-West region, provided a “welcome to country” address and a painting that captures his country, Tellus’ business and stewardship of the land.
